genedec SkillScout

The software module SkillScout records the professional and specialist skills of the employees of a company or organisation in a special database.

The key functions of SkillScout are the process-controlled recording of the skill profiles of the employees and the extensive search mechanisms to find suitable team members using the genedec Decision Engine.

Based on our experience, which varies from industry to industry, in each individual case up to 15 percent of employees in a company can possess the relevant expertise for strategic decision-making. These employees are successively recorded in an automated process by SkillScout, where they independently store their skill profiles. SkillScout records things such as specialist skills, language skills and regional professional experience. The profiles are then checked for accuracy by the supervisors and are then subjected to quality assurance by means of a feedback mechanism. In this way, talents are focused on that it would otherwise be practically impossible to activate for the company or the organisation.

During the implementation of a decision process, the SkillScout menu can be used to search the whole company for suitable experts in a certain field. The special roles in the decision process such as quality assurance or standards monitoring are automatically assigned. SkillScout provides combined expertise for making decisions that is not available elsewhere. Particularly in complex and spread-out organisations, teams of experts can be compiled that could otherwise only be laboriously put together by those who know an organisation very well.
